The Sovereign Hill Museums Association is one of Australia’s leading independent not for profit museum organisations. Our purpose is to inspire an understanding of the significance of the central Victorian gold rushes in Australia’s national story.

We collect, conserve and interpret the mining, social, cultural and environmental heritage of the Ballarat region through our world-famous Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum, the Gold Museum Ballarat, the AURA sound and light show, Sovereign Hill Hotel and our pastoral property, Narmbool.

Multiple roles to join our Front Entrance Customer Service team in a casual capacity.

The position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visitors whilst being able to promote and sell entry, AURA and associated packages.

To be successful you must have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, an outgoing personality and the ability to build rapport with visitors and staff
  • Ability to work as part of team
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in cash handling, electronic POS and daily taking reconciliations
  • Possess basic understanding of tourism and locations within the Ballarat region
  • Able to work flexible rosters, including weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
