Sydney Living Museums cares for 11 of the NSW most important historic houses, museums and their collections: Elizabeth Bay House, Elizabeth Farm, Hyde Park Barracks Museum, Justice & Police Museum, Meroogal, The Mint, Museum of Sydney, Rose Seidler House, Rouse Hill House & Farm, Susannah Place Museum and Vaucluse House. All are listed in the NSW State Heritage Register. The Museum of Sydney and the Hyde Park Barracks on the National Heritage list and the Hyde Park Barracks is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

About the role
This role provides graphic design services to meet project briefs and maintain brand consistency for marketing campaigns and initiatives in support of Sydney Living Museums’ exhibitions, properties, public programs and events.

Responsibilities
Essential requirements the role holder needs
- Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design and/or 3 year’s practical experience in the discipline of graphic design.
- Experience developing creative design solutions across digital and print platforms for a variety of marketing and communications campaign.
- Experience in producing graphic design materials within brand guidelines.
- Knowledge and experience in pre-press and print production including offset and digital printing.
- Able to create effective visual communication pieces from creative concept stage through to finished product.
- Effective communication and interpersonal/negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience designing for a cultural institution or project thereof.
- Solid foundation in typography, layout, and general design.
