Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum received a $1 million grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation in New York to develop its leadership, the local museum recently announced.

The grant, which will be disbursed over two years, will be used to support the first of a three-phase, multi-year program that will develop curators trained with an Indigenous framework.
