The Head Communications and Partnerships leads and manages the team that undertakes the marketing, communications and partnerships activities for the Museum. The role oversees, develops and delivers strategies across the agency to increase awareness, attendance, revenue and to enhance the Museums brand.

As Head Communications and Partnerships, you will work across the agency to manage and enhance our existing external relationships and to secure and build new relationships. You will identify and package partnership and sponsorship opportunities and will cultivate prospective partners and manage stakeholder events. The role will work closely with our senior management team to identify in-kind and financial partners including corporate sponsors, trusts and foundations, private donors or philanthropists and government.

This role will develop and deliver consistent and effective strategic communications with government and key stakeholders and oversee communication and media activities for internal and external stakeholders.

Experience in the marketing and communications areas is essential. Cultural sector experience preferred.

This is a non-ongoing placement for 18months with the possibility of extending for a further 18months.

• An Australian Citizen
• Willing to undergo an Australian Government security clearance and maintain it at the baseline level.
