Duties
The Head, Finance and Chief Finance Officer (CFO) reports to the Assistant Director, Corporate Services, and is responsible for the Memorial’s financial governance and procurement, in addition to managing the day to day operations of the Finance section. The role is directly involved in developing and implementing finance and procurement policies and processes in accordance with the Commonwealth’s financial framework.
The role is responsible for driving change through better utilisation of the Memorial’s financial management information system, and developing relationships with business areas to improve financial and procurement practices and outcomes.
The CFO is required to present financial and budget outcomes to the Memorial’s Corporate Management Group, Audit Committee, and other key stakeholders.
The CFO has direct responsibility for three executive level staff responsible for financial accounting, management accounting, and procurement functions.
