We have a rare leadership opportunity for a Head of Cinemas to join ACMI and our Films Program Team. In this 12 month fixed term full time role you will lead the team to conceive, develop and deliver a diverse range of activities, collaborate with ACMI’s industry and festival partners and represent ACMI in Australia and internationally. The role focuses on developing and delivering rich and unique programming, a premium cinema experience, supporting and collaborating with festival partners, and building an enthusiastic audience across the general public, cinephiles and the industry. Reporting to the Executive Director of Programming and Creative Operations/ Director & CEO you will lead the delivery of a vibrant year-round program of screenings and events.

Our ideal team member will have a proven track record of delivering vibrant, diverse and distinctive cinema programs including film, television and other moving image-based work, with demonstrated critical acclaim and strong box-office performance. You will bring a strong network of contacts particularly in film distribution and have a track record of success in commercial negotiations and identifying new income streams. With demonstrated leadership experience you will enjoy collaborating with others, delivering projects and promoting organisational interests to external stakeholders.
