The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) is Australia’s contemporary museum for excellence and innovation in applied arts and sciences and is uniquely placed to demonstrate how technology, engineering, science and design impact Australia and the world.

The Governance, Planning & Reporting Team ensures the Museum’s enterprise risk management procedures meet government requirements, align with strategic planning and audit functions and improve business operations. The team also coordinates legal guidance, support and advice for the Museum. It takes carriage for the management and coordination of major projects of both a capital and strategic nature and providing safety leadership and relevant workers’ compensation policy development and administrative oversight to ensure the Museum provides a safe environment for our workforce and visitors.

As the Head of Governance, Planning & Reporting you are responsible for providing expert advice and high quality governance frameworks to maintain compliance and integrity of decision making processes, consistent with the interests of MAAS and the NSW State Government.  The role has a focus on Policy, Planning, Governance, Compliance and related reporting and Major Project Coordination and Reporting.

You will provide advice to the whole of the organisation, including the Executive Management Team (EMT) and the Senior Management Team (SMT) on best practice business thereby assisting them to comply with their responsibilities. You will also will act as the Executive Officer to key forums and ensure that organisational performance reporting reflects best practice.
