Living Museums cares for 11 of the NSW most important historic houses, museums and their collections: Elizabeth Bay House, Elizabeth Farm, Hyde Park Barracks Museum, Justice & Police Museum, Meroogal, The Mint, Museum of Sydney, Rose Seidler House, Rouse Hill House & Farm, Susannah Place Museum and Vaucluse House. All are listed in the NSW State Heritage Register. The Museum of Sydney and the Hyde Park Barracks on the National Heritage list and the Hyde Park Barracks is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
About the role
This role manages a team of technical specialists to administer, maintain and continuously improve Sydney Living Museums’ ICT environment through the provision of technical support and advice to users across multiple locations, platforms and technologies.
Essential requirements the role holder needs:
- Degree or post-graduate qualification in ICT or related discipline or significant experience in ICT management and support at a senior level.
- Experience leading ICT teams and advising senior management, on issues including: change management, strategic and disaster recovery plans, ICT security policies, plans and guidelines in accordance with the NSW Government’s ICT Strategy.
- High level experience in planning efficient and robust IT enterprise architecture and managing business operating systems and associated hardware, software and databases.
- Excellent project and resource management skills with well-developed interpersonal, advocacy, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record in effectively managing multiple resources, staff and other business units in a technical environment to achieve outcomes within tight time frames.
- Experience in handling relationships between various level of ICT management and users of large systems and providing direction and leadership to management and staff in a multi layered and multiple sites corporate environment.
- A clear understanding and commitment to core NSW public sector values of EEO principles including cultural diversity, equity and ethnical practice; and a healthy, safe and fair workplace; and capacity to lead staff in implementing these values.
