Auckland Museum is an influential, much-loved organisation at the centre of Auckland’s identity, committed to developing and sharing engaging content through its galleries, exhibition, events and educational programmes.

To develop outstanding experiences for audiences and enable increased access to its collections, Auckland Museum is currently seeking to appoint a Head of Major Works to lead & deliver its substantial capital works programme.

The Head of Major Works will lead the planning & delivery of a wide range of capital works projects, from detailed design and consenting, resource mobilisation and project execution to handover. They will work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to drive this exciting programme of improvements.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this unique role will also play an important function in communicating progress to the organisations various stakeholders including the Executive Team and the Trust Board.

We are looking for an experienced senior leader, with substantial capabilities in developing and executing major works projects; combined with programme management expertise within the construction sector.
