The Head of Partnerships role leads the development of strategies and approaches for building and maintaining Te Papa’s family of funding partners across commercial entities, central and local government, philanthropic organisations and donors, and non-government organisations.

The role leads the Partnerships team within the newly established Partnerships and Development Directorate, which is responsible for business development and partner relationships. The role spearheads the development of corporate sponsorship and membership programmes; develops and delivers partnership strategies and pitches that inspire, excite and generate funding; ensures Te Papa delivers on partnership expectations; and supports the philanthropic efforts of the Te Papa Foundation, Friends of Te Papa and grants bodies.

We are looking for a hands-on, self-starter who is an inspiring leader, enjoys working collaboratively with others, is adaptable and enthusiastic, thinks outside of the box and enjoys variety to their work.

The starting salary for this position will be between $130,000 to $150,000pa, with further room for progression through the band. Offers will be made within the range to reflect the skills and experience offered by the candidate and those required of the role, and internal relativities with other employees.
