Summary Statement
The South Australian Museum is a leading research institution, one of the most visited museums in Australia, and holds collections of national and international significance. It is a leader in remote and regional community engagement, and in Australian Aboriginal heritage and scientific research. The purpose of the Museum is to inspire in all people a wonder and curiosity about life on Earth.
The Public Engagement team works with Museum staff and partners to bring the stories of the Museum’s research and collections to life in vibrant and exciting ways for all people. The team is responsible for the delivery of the Museum’s ongoing exhibition program, its education and engagement programs for the public, and the visitor experience in the Museum.
The Head of Public Engagement will lead the strategic development and implementation of programmes and activities that connect the Museum with its public audiences.
