Duties
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Corporate Services, you will collaborate with the museum executive and team to determine the museum’s technology needs and proactively seek opportunities to leverage technology to enhance the delivery of museum services and customer experiences.
On a day-to-day basis, you will lead the museum’s technology team and outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP) to deliver operational technology including infrastructure, secure network, applications, telecommunications, service desk support, disaster recovery processes and procedures, policies, procurement and effective budget and vendor management.
Ideal applicants will have:
- A formal qualification in technology or a similar discipline (preferably at postgraduate level).
- One or more professional qualifications and/or experience in Project Management, Business Analysis, Architecture, Procurement or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience working as a senior technology leader managing teams and budgets.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience in a broad range of technology based roles including: Requirements management; Solution design; Testing and assurance; Implementation and change management; IT operations management
- Understanding of technology infrastructure design and experience in integrating complex technology systems including the transition of existing on-premises services and business applications to a hybrid cloud-hosted services environment.
- Proven skills in technology strategy development and implementation.
- Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to initiate, manage and complete technology projects on time and within budget to achieve project objectives.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and experience in contract negotiation and management.
- Excellent communication and people management skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a range of stakeholders to achieve optimal business outcomes.
- Ability to harness technology to transform business systems and processes.

Selection for this position will be made on the basis of relative merit which will be assessed against each item of the selection criteria.
