Come and lead the Partnerships team at QMN – an exciting opportunity to grow an attractive partnership portfolio. Leading a small team, the Head, Partnerships oversees the partnership portfolio for the QMN which includes corporate sponsorships across World Science Festival Brisbane, events and exhibitions, and partnerships arrangements to further the research, collections, and curatorial work of the QMN.

Reporting to the Director, Public Engagement and leading small team, the Head, Partnerships oversees the partnership portfolio for the QMN which includes corporate sponsorships across World Science Festival Brisbane, events and exhibitions, and partnerships arrangements to further the research, collections, and curatorial work of the QMN.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in contemporary sponsorship practice and a proven track record in stakeholder engagement. They will have experience managing a small team, work well under pressure; possess high attention to detail, and rise to the challenge of achieving targets within a highly competitive environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the partnership portfolio for Queensland Museum Network including sponsorship for World Science Festival Brisbane, programs, exhibitions and develop mutually beneficial partnerships with stakeholders, government and academia.

Lead high-value, multi-year program partnerships including contracting, servicing, reporting, communication and partner event delivery.

Identify and secure cash and in-kind sponsorship and funding for Queensland Museum Network projects and initiatives including World Science Festival Brisbane.

Manage the partnerships work unit and build a culture of best-practice sponsorship and partnerships through effective resourcing, policy, procedure, and reporting frameworks.

Coordinate, present and convert sponsorship opportunities, negotiate contracts and lead cross-organisational teams to ensure contractual deliverables are acquitted within time and budget, risks are identified and effectively managed.

Build, maintain and leverage productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and report regularly regarding performance.
