The Head Photographer is responsible for engaging and assisting visitors with enquiries, purchasing decisions and processing sales transaction across the retail outlets both internal and external to the Museum. They will provide leadership to and assist with the training of new and existing employees, and assist with daily operational requirements.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Experience within a customer service or retail environment is essential
  • Advanced experience using digital photography and software packages is essential
  • Must present in a professional manner at all times and be able to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Ability to deliver training programs
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of photographic history and processes
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Good communications skills, an outgoing personality and a genuine liking for people
  • Ability to work across flexible rosters including weekends, public holidays and school holidays

Qualifications and Checks

  • A certificate III qualification I n photography or related discipline or equivalent is essential
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment would be highly regarded
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Covid Vaccination – Fully vaccinated by 26 November 2021
