The Museum has an opportunity for someone seeking to broaden their HR knowledge and experience and contribute to a range of human resource projects, initiatives, and programs.

Reporting directly to the HR Projects and Work Health and Safety Compliance Manager, this role will contribute to a range of programs at the Museum, including diversity and inclusion, strategic recruitment, employee relations, performance management, wellbeing, and health and capability development. The role provides an opportunity for a human resource practitioner to develop and build their generalist skills in HR policy development and implementation, business improvement, and project management.

The position will provide secretariat support for a range of agency committees relevant to the role and also support the Human Resource Program Manager and Senior People and Culture Advisor as necessary.

The key duties of the position include:

  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge, experience, and interest in human resources.
  • You will be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow. You will have the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to problems. You will also possess an inquisitive mind, with the ability to use your initiative and judgement, and be motivated to seek opportunities for business improvements. An ability to research and deliver results on time and to a high standard is necessary.
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate integrity and be able to work within a team environment and autonomously.
