Auckland War Memorial Museum – New Zealand’s first museum – is a $30M social business at the centre of Auckland’s identity. A place of commemoration, the Museum is also responsible for collections that trace the history of the city and New Zealand. The Museum employs more than 200 staff and is supported by some 300 volunteers.

We’ve created a new generalist HR Manager role at Auckland War Memorial Museum to provide fixed-term senior HR bench-strength to our People and Organisation team. We anticipate significant growth in people capacity and capability over the next two years as part of our ongoing organisational transformation to achieve the vision of ‘Future Museum’ our twenty year vision for Auckland Museum. This two year fixed-term role will provide the additional HR capacity we need to support process improvement and organisational readiness between now and early 2018.
