The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the Human Resources team as the Aurion Systems Administrator.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing expertise and guidance on complex pay related issues.
- Providing ongoing system administration of the Museum’s current HR Management Information System, Aurion, and associated databases.
- Managing the testing and implementation of modules, upgrades and system enhancements, in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Developing and delivering a range of HR statistics and reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
- Providing support to employees on the Employee Self Service module of Aurion.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems, information and projects.
- Ensuring compliance with changes in taxation, superannuation, pay rates and conditions
- Assisting in the processing compliance payments and end of financial year requirements.
- Maintaining Aurion documentation including system administration manuals, user guides and training material.
- Conducting Aurion upgrades and effectively communicating ideas to stakeholders and project managers.
- Analysing the organisation’s requirements and providing recommendations to ensure the solution is fit for purpose.
- Communicating with internal customers and vendors on upgrades and changes to the systems.
- Performing security administration, including development of new security roles as needed and user maintenance.
- Performing HR systems maintenance and patching, work with software service providers and perform the implementation of small changes.
- Contributing to the larger changes and projects when the capability is required on multi-functional project teams.
- Maintaining good business-focused collaboration and agility in approaches to how the systems are maintained and supported.

- Demonstrated experience analysing, interpreting and applying complex legislation relating to personnel practices and procedures.
- Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to effectively negotiate and influence outcomes.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think strategically in order to resolve problems.
- Relevant experience in an equivalent systems administration role with an understanding of Aurion system or Oracle and SAP.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of Aurion System.
- Experience in working in an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) adopted environment providing effective, timely and professional support on systems to agreed delivery standards.
- Experience in end-to-end application management policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate, prioritise and deliver on multiple tasks to achieve deadlines in complex environment.
- Experience and ability to build productive relationships with users.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to ensure confidentiality is always maintained.
- Formal tertiary qualifications in an IT or Business discipline.
