The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the Human Resources team as the HR Systems and Reporting Officer. Working as part of the Corporate and Cultural Shared Services Centre, the position will have a matrix reporting line, reporting to the Aurion Systems Administrator for technical issues and the Payroll Supervisor on a day-to-day basis.

The role will assist the Aurion Systems Administrator to provide ongoing system administration and support for multiple Aurion instances and associated databases. This will include providing assistance with testing and implementation of modules, upgrades and enhancements, as well as onboarding of new payroll clients.

The position is responsible for managing standard and adhoc reporting requirements for the Museum and shared services clients, in line with the relevant Service Level Agreement and key performance indicators. The position will provide less complex technical support for the payroll team and clients as well as training and documentation support.

Some payroll processing may be required on an as needs basis.

What will the successful candidate bring to the role?

The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience using Aurion or a similar HR system and a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, personnel practices and procedures. Previous experience in payroll and/or systems would be advantageous.

A client focus, with strong communication skills will be highly regarded. In addition, the successful candidate will have proven ability to effectively manage and schedule competing priorities and meet deadlines, work in a team environment and collaborate with others.

You will have the ability to identify issues and develop solutions to problems. You will also possess an inquisitive mind, with the ability to use your initiative and judgement and be motivated to seek opportunities for business improvements.

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated understanding of HR information systems.
  2. Well developed organisational skills and the ability to manage and schedule work priorities and meet competing deadlines.
  3. Demonstrated extensive knowledge and practical application of relevant legislation, processes and practices as they relate to payroll.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to represent the Museum.
  5. Strong commitment to delivering a quality customer service.
  6. Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
