The Australian Museum (AM) operates within the NSW Department of Planning and Environmentand was founded in 1827 and is the first museum in Australia. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. The AM holds more than 18 million objects of biological, geological and cultural collections and develops programs, exhibitions and school and community education initiatives onsite, online and offsite. About the role
Support the People and Culture team to deliver the Museum’s strategic plan, as it relates to Human Resources (HR) and support the business with the provision of HR services.
Essential Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or equivalent experience in providing the full range of employee life cycle HR services eg recruitment, training, development etc.
- Working knowledge of conditions of employment as set out in the GSE Act 2013, GSE Regulations 2014 and GSE Rules 2014 and the various awards, determinations and agreements affecting staff.
- Adequate knowledge and experience in order to deliver the Key Accountabilities and perform to the Focus
- Capabilities outlined in the Role Description.
