Auckland Museum is a much-loved organisation at the centre of Auckland’s identity, committed to outstanding management of its extensive collections and the permanent and volunteer staff who tell the Museum’s stories.
Our Technology & Digital team requires an Application Specialist to fill a permanent full-time position. One of a team of three Application Specialists, this role serves the curatorial and collection teams of the Museum. Your particular focus will be on the Collection, Library and Digital Asset Management Systems, the latter being on the near-term project horizon and strategic to the Museum’s online future aspirations.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Experience as a user or providing technical support of Vernon, Genie/Presto or any Digital Asset Management Systems highly advantageous
- ITIL and Application Life Cycle understanding
- Proven incident logging and change management tool familiarity
- Evidence of effective working relationship building competence
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to present and train
- The ability to learn quickly
- Demonstrate positive organisational change management savvy
