The Museum has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Information Technology business unit as an ICT Contracts Manager.

The Information Technology business unit is comprised of a small and dynamic team that multitasks, undertakes challenging and diverse work, and operates in a busy but supportive environment.

Our ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with the ability to develop professional relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. You will possess sound judgement and discretion, as well as attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive and privileged information.

You will have created and successfully managed contract governance arrangements and developed supporting briefs and reporting to support contract assurance functions. Flexibility and resilience will enable you to thrive in this fast-paced work environment.

You will have a high level of ICT subject matter expertise and experience using AusTender, DS4P and DTA panels to procure ICT products and services, and drafting terms and conditions, service level agreements, quality standards and delivery and payment milestones.

Key duties for this role include:

  • Manage ICT contract administration, including monitoring performance, deliverables, service quality and project progress.
  • Coordinate and manage complex ICT procurement, including procurement of hardware and software, services, warranty and support agreements in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
  • Prepare key ICT procurement and contract administration documentation, including procurement plans, approaches to market (RFT, RFQ, etc), evaluation reports, draft contracts, work orders, variations and change orders.
  • Provide high-quality advice and guidance on Commonwealth ICT procurement matters, including best-practice processes, risk management and probity.
  • Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders with respect to procurement and contracting administrative matters.
  • Work proactively and collaboratively to resolve problems and achieve business outcomes.
  • Engage in knowledge transfer within the team and across the Museum.
  • Assist in financial administration processes, including invoice reconciliation, purchase-order generation, tracking, reporting, variance adjustments, accruals and certificate of compliance tasks.

Highly desirable

  • certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting
  • experience working with finance systems (particularly TechnologyOne) and financial reporting
