The Museum of Applied Arts and Science (MAAS) is Australia’s contemporary museum for excellence and innovation in applied arts and sciences and is uniquely placed to use its collections, disciplines and ideas to demonstrate how applied arts and sciences impact Australia and the world.
This role sits within the Digital and Technology department and specifically within the ICT unit which is responsible for providing key infrastructure systems that support the Museum’s program and business needs.
This is an exciting time for the ICT unit as it aims to create a more agile infrastructure within the Museum. This role will play a key part in this by being directly responsible for the support and migration of ICT systems to a number of different platforms (physical, virtual) and different locations (on-premise, GovDC, cloud).
For this role we are looking for a switched on systems administrator that enjoys thinking on their feet and solving complex problems. You must be able to work in a fast paced and agile environment and be willing to embrace new and modern systems.
To be eligible to apply for this role you must have the following:
- A degree in ICT or related discipline, or relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in supporting Microsoft system technologies including, but not limited to Microsoft Exchange 2010, Active Directory, Windows Server (2003 – 2012), SQL, Microsoft Office365
- Demonstrated skills and experience in Project Management methodologies and have played a critical role in at least one project involving the upgrade and/or migration of Microsoft technologies to a different platform/location
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the support and administration of Linux systems
