We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to join the IMAX senior management team as a Brand and Public Relations Manager. You will contribute to the strategic direction of the theatre and lead the way in promoting and positioning the IMAX brand and film product across our varied markets.
The successful candidate will develop and implement exciting, innovative, and cost-effective marketing strategies for unique IMAX only documentaries and other key film releases, including generating positive media coverage through the development of appropriate media angles and stories. You will oversee content creation and communications activities for all film titles across owned channels.
You will be a passionate movie fan and will have demonstrated marketing and/or public relations experience and success within the cinema, entertainment or visitor attractions industries, as well as high-level knowledge or understanding of the current media landscape and strong relationships within the industry. Working alongside with IMAX Brand & Public Relations team, key duties of this role include:
- Build the IMAX brand through the development and implementation of effective marketing communication strategies, ensuring they are aligned to the IMAX Strategic Plan, MV Commercial Strategy, and MV marketing plan.
- Develop an annual fully integrated marketing communications plan aligned with the on-screen content and the respective audiences, across bought, owned, and earned channels, to drive engagement and visitation; track, evaluate and report on campaigns.
- Develop and manage external relationships with appropriate media, corporate partners, influencers and agency partners to leverage opportunities to drive partnership and exposure of the IMAX brand across various channels ensuring appropriate strategic stakeholder engagement and alignment.
- Source, leverage, and pitch available media talent in line with appropriate brand and film opportunities; Develop relevant editorial, press release, and related materials to drive earned media.
- Plan and manage appropriate film launches for IMAX exclusive content for all relevant markets. Liaise and work cohesively with the operations team, source appropriate talent as deemed necessary, and manage stakeholders throughout.
