The Interpretation and Content Development Officer will support and asisst the EL1 Manager, Interpretation and Content Development in the development of interpretive content for high quality and engaging onsite, online and outreach programs and experiences. The position holder will also: contribute to the development of Piction, the museum’s Digital Asset Management System, assist in maintaining interpretive displays on the museum floor, and support the development and management of the Interpretation and Learning (Props) Collection.

The key duties of the position include: 

  • Assist with the development of onsite, online and outreach interpretive products and programs.
  • Assist with the development and management of the Interpretation and Learning (Props) Collection, including acquisition and accessioning of objects.
  • Maintain the interpreted spaces in the museum through regular curatorial inspections.
  • Assist in moving legacy holdings into Piction, the museum’s Digital Asset Management System.
  • Undertake content research for a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Eligibility

To be eligible for employment at MoAD, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen; and
  • Be able to obtain and/or maintain a government security clearance at the baseline level (after commencement).
