Duties

The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the Information Technology (IT) Business Unit as an IT Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for transitioning and migrating Partner Agencies into the Cultural and Corporate Shared Services Centre. The incumbent will be accountable under broad direction to undertake complex and very complex project management activities. They will undertake stakeholder engagement and will be required to identify relevant stakeholder expectations and concerns.

The Project Manager is responsible for the following deliverables:

  1. Lead the planning and implementation of Shared Services projects, managing resources and activities across a range of stakeholders in order to achieve project objectives.
  2. Develop a project plan and schedule, monitor progress and take corrective actions, escalating issues as necessary.
  3. Facilitate meetings and workshops to identify project requirements, scope, stakeholders, objectives, deliverables, tasks, timelines, and risks.
  4. Identify, monitor and manage risks and issues associated with the delivery of project objectives.
  5. Develop and maintain appropriate documentation associated with project deliverables to support all phases of a project lifecycle.
  6. Communicate regularly with and manage stakeholders’ expectations on project progress, including meeting formal reporting requirements.
  7. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a number of key business areas.
