Duties

The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the the Cultural and Corporate Shared Services Centre (CCSSC) as an IT Security Advisor.

This role will provide IT Security technical expertise and advice to the National Museum of Australia and other agencies through the Cultural and Corporate Shared Services Centre. Examining detailed threat analysis and security profiling, this role will take the lead in identifying and implementing appropriate technical security controls. Working with the Chief Information Officer and Agency Security Advisor, this role will contribute to risk analysis and assessments against the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and ICT Security Manual (ISM).

A key component of this role is to perform technical security compliance audits and support the system certification and accreditation processes. This includes user and system security vulnerability auditing in order to identify gaps in the layered approach to security covered through patching and antivirus processes.

Liaison with internal and external stakeholders is necessary to ensure strong protective security. Technical security advice, policy development, and training are an integral part of the role.
