CAMD member Kate Clark has announced that she will be leaving the role of Director, Sydney Living Museums to take up a senior policy role in the NSW Government.
Kate has presided over a period of great change and a successful rebranding of the former Historic Houses Trust of NSW. Within CAMD she has recently provided invaluable support to CAMD’s Executive Officer as part of the Raising the Profile of Museums Working Group.
Kate brought to Australia her extensive experience in heritage management, economics and policy and over 20 years’ experience with heritage in senior positions in the United Kingdom. In acknowledgement of her continuing contribution to these issues she was recently announced as one of the new members of the Australian Heritage Council.
CAMD extends its best wishes to Kate in her future career in the firm knowledge that she will continue to make a significant contribution in all her endeavours.
A new Director, Mark Goggin, formerly the General Manager of the Powerhouse Museum, will be appointed for a year to the position at Sydney Living Museums, pending a review of the role.
