The Powerhouse has an opportunity for a Lead Preparator to join the team.

The Lead Preparator is responsible for the coordination and supervision of staff in the Production Workshop and for managing facilities and resources.  This includes working with the Workshop Construction Coordinator to oversee the construction, fabrication and installation of all exhibitions, art installations, collection displays and other Museum projects to meet international museum standards.  This position is central to communication and problem-solving within the day-to-day activities of exhibition development and installation.

To be successful in this role you will have extensive knowledge of fabrication techniques, relevant qualifications in metalworking, carpentry, painting, general construction or related fields and a high level of technical expertise.
