Museums Victoria is seeking a Learning & Development & OHS Co-ordinator to provide support for the management of Museums Victoria’s health, safety and risk management systems and to design and deliver a range of learning and development programs designed to build organisational capability and performance aligned to Museums Victoria’s needs.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The position is accountable for providing timely and professional advice and services to ensure that Museums Victoria understands and effectively manages health and safety, and strategic and operational risks and for coordinating Museums Victoria’s Learning and Development program through development, application and maintenance of systems, processes, evaluation and reporting.
Key Selection Criteria

Demonstrated understanding of the principles of health and safety and risk management and knowledge of relevant standards, legislation, regulations, codes and government policies as appropriate.

Demonstrated understanding of adult learning concepts and a proven ability to develop, deliver, co-ordinate and evaluate learning and development programs.

Ability to refine and develop systems and materials relating to MV’s people policies and processes.

Proven ability to identify, develop and implement improvements to policies, processes and reporting capacity.

Highly-developed communication skills, including the ability to advise and liaise with all levels of staff, to develop strong relationships with relevant stakeholders and the ability to negotiate outcomes.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and to respond appropriately to sensitive matters.

Demonstrated ability to prioritise and schedule work so that deadlines and commitments are met.

Demonstrated experience in working with electronic database and information management systems.

Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a team environment.
