THE OPPORTUNITY:

Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Facilitator to join the Public Programs and Education team at Immigration Museum to contribute to the audience experience through effective program delivery.

The position is accountable for delivering programs, activities or shows in a way that engages Museums Victoria’s audiences and contributes to the audience experience. Programs are delivered either face-to-face or virtually.

Working within the Immigration Museum Education team, key duties of this role include: 

  1. Facilitate curriculum-aligned learning programs, activities or shows for education-booked groups, using professional judgement to optimise learning for diverse audiences.
  2. Use contemporary digital tools to support and deliver engaging educational experiences both virtually and face-to-face, including troubleshooting and device management.
  3. Set up, pack up, and assist in maintaining materials and resources used in the delivery of programs, workshops, and activities and initiate improvements as required.
  4. Provide feedback on audience response to programs, implement evaluation tools, and participate in debriefs for audience evaluations and customer service purposes, as required.
