This is an exciting opportunity to join the Queensland Museum Network (QMN), to work on a collaborative project focused on improving regional community participation and student performance in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). Within this role you will support the Lifelong Learning team by leading the delivery of STEM programming relating to the Future Makers STEM Education project. You will conceptualise, develop, implement and evaluate STEM initiatives including community activities, education and teacher professional development (TPD) programs designed to engage and inspire teachers, students and regional communities, and which support QMN’s vision, and strategic and operational direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supervision of the activities of the Learning Officer, Future Makers; and
  2. Management of the development and delivery of STEM TPD, education and community engagement programs, ensuring that these activities fulfil the objectives of the Future Makers project and the QMN lifelong learning engagement strategy; and
  3. Manage the allocation of resources, both financial and human, to achieve agreed project outcomes in accordance with the approved plan and budget.

Your application for this role will remain current for 12 months and may be considered for recurring vacancies which may be at an alternative location or alternative employment basis (full-time or part-time).
