Duties
A Learning Services Officer is responsible for contributing to the development and delivery of programming events for school groups and family groups.
Specifically a Learning Services Officer is responsible for:
- assisting with the creation and planning, and delivery, of engaging programs associated with the Museum’s collection, exhibitions, ideas and themes to school groups and family groups
- coordinating the operational aspects of these programs
- supporting Learning Services and Community Outreach volunteers in their duties to ensure the effective delivery of programs
- assisting with administrative and other tasks associated with specific programs, including communicating program and event information across the Museum and evaluating programs
- ensuring that he/she has sufficient supervision, instruction and equipment to undertake his/her work safely and that employees and volunteers have sufficient supervision, instruction and equipment to enable them to perform their duties safely.
Note: This position will require some work on weeknights, weekends and public holidays. It may also involve some strenuous physical activity from time to time.
