The Australian Museum (AM) operates within the NSW Department of Justice and was founded in 1827 and is the first museum in Australia. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. The AM holds more than 18 million objects of biological, geological and cultural collections and develops programs, exhibitions and school and community education initiatives onsite, online and offsite. About the role
The Library Technician is responsible for providing client-focused library and research services internally and externally, and for maintenance of the Library and its collections ensuring effective access and discovery for Rare Book and Library collections and resources.
Essential Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate:
- Qualifications acceptable for library technician membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) or other qualifications and experience deemed to be equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience in order to deliver the Key Accountabilities and perform to the Focus Capabilities outlined in the Role Description
