Stewart Brash & Emma Haskin, Museum of Central Australia closes amid declining visitation, ABC Alice Springs, 2 September 2025
Nestled in Alice Springs’ Araluen cultural precinct, the Museum of Central Australia’s natural and earth science collection has been delighting families, tourists and school groups for well over two decades.
That was until January, when the museum quietly closed its doors as part of the planned expansion of the Strehlow Centre.
The closure raised questions about the future of the significant natural and earth science collection.
