Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis to 23 December 2022.

Duties

  • Undertake financial analysis, monitoring and reporting activities and prepare financial information, including budgets and cashflows.
  • Develop and implement efficient systems to coordinate business planning, project planning, risk management, procurement planning, organisational performance and reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities for business improvement, undertake research and develop recommendations and manage the implementation, training and evaluation of practices, systems and procedures to achieve quality outcomes, including the supervision of allocated staff and contractors.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of business support across all TMAG sites.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on administrative and information services functions and emerging issues.
  • Develop and present clear and concise discussion papers and reports for senior management and the Board.
  • Assist in the collation of data and reporting on a range of operational and human resources processes including learning and development activities and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain a policy review cycle that includes undertaking research to support policy development including producing recommendations for approval by senior management and implementation.
  • Provide daily direction and guidance to the Business Support and Information Services teams including mentoring and coordination of reception services at the museum’s city administration entrance.
  • Assist with the coordination and supervision of the delivery of commercial activities, including retail, venue hire and fee for service arrangements.

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the operations of a contemporary cultural institution.
  • A current motor vehicles driver’s licence.
