The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) is Tasmania’s leading natural, cultural and heritage organisation. As part of its Strategic Plan, TMAG is committed to diversifying its revenue and increasing funds that are contributed as donations, corporate partnerships, bequests and through its supporter organisations the Foundation of TMAG, and Friends of TMAG. TMAG aims to build fundraising capacity and an organisational culture of philanthropy throughout the staff.
We’re seeking a Development Manager to contribute to and support this emerging culture, and coordinate activity across the organisation to increase effectiveness and the level of funds raised each year. The occupant of this role will work closely with the senior management team, co-ordinate and provide authoritative advice on fundraising, including philanthropy, sponsorship, bequests, and grants from trusts and foundations. With the support and guidance of the Director the occupant will assist with the coordination of the Foundation of TMAG, development of a donor program, and a range of corporate and philanthropic partnerships to support revenue raising.
