About the Australian Museum
The Australian Museum (AM) operates within the NSW Department of Justice and was founded in 1827 and is the first museum in Australia. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. The AM holds more than 18 million objects of biological, geological and cultural collections and develops programs, exhibitions and school and community education initiatives onsite, online and offsite. The AM’s purpose is to make nature, Indigenous cultures & science accessible and relevant to everyone.

About the role
This role is an initiative of Australian Museum Research Institute (AMRI) Education within the AMRI, Science and Learning Division of the Australian Museum. The Manager, Education is responsible for the management, administration and the strategic direction of the Educational unit and needs to demonstrate a high level organisational, administrative and budgetary decision making skills. This position requires s dynamic disposition able to coordinate a multidisciplinary team as well as be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of all onsite, offsite and online learning programs for a range of audiences and education groups.
