Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Manager IT & Web will play a critical role in managing the Museum’s technological footprint, and in ensuring that its future direction aligns to the Museum’s strategic goals. The role will coordinate a major web transition for the Museum, consolidating existing web profiles (and associated web services), and migrating content into a Drupal platform as part of the Digital Infrastructure Program. The role will also manage digital systems, cyber security, and operational management of the relationship with the Museum’s shared services provider of the corporate IT network.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience within a vast range of ICT environments and be able to work according to industry best practices. You must also be familiar with cyber security best practices, and be able to align these with the organisation’s goals and budget.

The key duties of the position include:

Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Manager IT & Web will:

  • Manage the transition of MoAD’s existing web presence to Drupal, by coordinating the consolidation and migration of microsites, and managing external suppliers and their associated contracts.
  • Identify and document requirements, and review product delivery in line with user needs, best practice and Australian Government policies and standards.
  • Develop and implement best-practice website analytics standards, in order to regularly monitor and report on website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and search engine optimisation (SEO).
  • Manage team resources, budgets, schedules and priorities to deliver high-quality projects that meet corporate and section objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, manage and implement ICT projects.
  • Contribute towards MoAD’s leadership cohort, by engaging with colleagues in problem-solving, shared learning and other opportunities as required.
  • Provide training and support to other staff members in web publishing, SEO, digital technology and products.
  • Contribute to other projects within the Digital Infrastructure Program, including the Customer Relationship Management System, Digital Asset Management System and the redevelopment of MoAD’s intranet.
  • Support staff within the team to ensure that they are utilised for the right tasks, and ensure that priorities are set to balance workloads.
  • Perform security risk assessments on current and new tools, and work to standardise this process.
  • Lead the implementation, monitoring and engagement of stakeholders in regard to the progression of the MoAD Cyber Resilience Strategy 2021.
