The Manager Learning will lead a large team of educators to develop and deliver consistent, exemplary civics-based learning initiatives for the Museum’s large onsite and online school audiences.

This role will develop and implement a strategic plan that prioritises MoAD Learning’s activities and opportunities to maintain its innovative, agile approach on curriculum directions.  This will be done with the aim to build new relationships and grow visitation, enabling the Museum to meet its strategic objectives and mission as a nationally recognized leader in civics education.

The key duties of the position include:

  • Lead the Museum’s learning engagement initiatives to deliver high quality onsite and online learning experiences for school audiences on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement a strategic learning plan, including ongoing evaluation of MoAD’s Learning programs and products, continually refining and improving the Museum’s onsite and online learning offerings to students and teachers.
  • Provide leadership in the understanding of contemporary pedagogy in classrooms and museum settings to meet the Museum’s civics and citizenship mission.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including other national cultural agencies, education departments, project partners, civics education partners, teacher associations, schools and universities.
  • Manage the team’s budget, procurement activities, business planning and reporting processes.
