Museums Victoria is seeking a Manager, Museums Victoria Retail Services to manage retail services for Museums Victoria through the development and implementation of initiatives that create an engaging and high performing work culture that enhances the contribution and connection to Museums Victoria’s mission, vision and strategic objectives.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The primary accountability of this position is to optimise revenue growth from diverse retail channels across multiple retail sites whilst enhancing visitor experiences and the Museums Victoria brand.

  1. Skills and experience required for this position include: Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing retail strategies across multiple sites within the cultural, attractions or tourism sector.
  2. Demonstrated understanding and experience of the retail industry, with well-developed buying, stock management and visual merchandising skills across multiple retail sites.
  3. Demonstrated experience forecasting, reporting and monitoring key performance metrics within a retail environment.
  4. Strong skills developing effective teams and driving a customer service and sales culture that is results driven.
  5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead high performing customer focused teams.
  6. Demonstrated leadership, industry knowledge and ability to operate with key stakeholders, together with the ability to collaboratively resolve problems in a fast-paced retail environment.
