You will lead, develop, manage and support the Queensland Museum digital and multimedia applications, systems and services to help attract audiences to discover and engage with the Queensland Museum’s collections, spaces and services. Actively participate as a senior member of a client-focussed information services team, providing high-level technical advice, leadership, and management as they relate to digital and multi media systems and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead, develop, manage and support complex in-house web applications, business systems, multimedia projects, from research and concepts to implementation.
  2. Lead the delivery of web based and business systems and services support and the online services team to meet brand, vision and strategic and operational plan objectives
  3. Develop, document, implement and review standards, procedures, policies and systems to promote and maintain all web based, business and multimedia systems and services.
  4. Manage the development of online and multimedia strategies and plans together with the Digital Engagement Manager, and in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in natural and cultural heritage research, marketing, information services,  business, exhibitions and public programming to deliver projects on time, on specification and on budget
  5. Coordinate analysis of online and multimedia usability to drive continuous improvement of design, optimisation, digital media connections, user interface and functionality.
  6. Liaise directly with contracted external personnel in maintenance of current technology and assist in the development and management of solutions.
  7. Develop a safety culture in the team by modelling and safe practices and behaviour, implementing all required procedures, reducing your safety risks, as far as reasonably practicable, before work commences. Undertake all relevant responsibilities identified in the QMN WHS Accountabilities and Responsibilities Matrix.
