Museums Victoria, Australia’s largest public museum organization is seeking an experienced Manager to lead and manage Public Information services for Museums Victoria for a full time, fixed-term of 12 months: Manage the team, operations, facilities, information systems and the public enquiry service of Museums Victoria.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The purpose of this position is to provide strong leadership, advocacy and internal stakeholder management for activities that promote public access to museum expertise, knowledge and information.

Notable skills and experiences:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and lead staff and volunteers, and manage project teams.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in best practice information services management and public enquiries services and the ability to recommend and implement change and innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience and sound understanding of digital applications that facilitate sharing of information and management of data.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide client-focused service and excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written, including networking, collaboration and the ability to present professionally to external and internal stakeholders.
