Position Description
Manage and implement the annual Sydney Open program including the development and delivery of the City Pass and Focus Tours programs, regional events and other related initiatives to maintain and grow Sydney Open’s reputation as a highly regarded and valued cultural program .

Targeted questions:
- Tell us about a cultural, creative or communications program or event you have managed that promoted the engagement of the general public with a specialist subject matter and was delivered at multiple sites requiring the support of multiple stakeholders and partners. Describe the processes and strategies that you used to ensure the program was delivered with a strong curatorial vision and quality audience experience while managing financial and logistical delivery as well as partner relationships?
- Provide an example of your experience leading a small team for the delivery of a large program with limited resources and tight timeframes. Outline how you maintained the morale and stamina of the team. What additional sources of support did you seek and secure to support the project? How did you negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and what interpersonal skills did you draw on to achieve this?
Essential requirements the role holder needs:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in public program or event management or in a creative producer role and significant knowledge of key trends in cultural programming and audience development, especially in relation to the creative, cultural, architectural or place making sectors
- Experience and success in procuring, managing and leveraging stakeholder engagement and partner involvement in programs.
- Highly developed negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong understanding of volunteer programs and management.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously with limited supervision with changing priorities and pressured deadlines whilst maintaining a flexible and professional approach.
- Experience preparing high quality proposals, reports, presentations and correspondence.
- Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Current Drivers Licence.
