Manager Workforce Relations and Planning

This position is responsible for the strategic direction and the day-to-day operation of the agency’s employment framework.  This key leadership role is expected to engage, impact and provide advice to MoAD’s Executive on all aspects of the employment framework, including workplace relations arrangements, pay, and conditions.  The role will provide high-quality service and advice to the Director and Executive in fulfilling their statutory responsibilities under the PGPA Act.  A key focus of the role is to ensure that all policies, systems, and services are aligned to the strategic priorities established by the agency and Government.

The position will work closely with the Human Resources Manager to assist in delivering a range of human and workplace relations services.

The key duties of the position include:

  1. Provide support for management of the Enterprise Agreement bargaining process, including implementation and communication.
  2. Manage activities relevant to the agency’s Workplace Relations and Workforce Planning obligations including Workforce Planning; Workplace Relations; Workplace Culture; External and Internal Reporting; andPolicy Development and Management
  3. Keep up to date with APS, social, economic, technological, and environmental trends and develop and implement contemporary HR strategies.
  4. Maintain effective internal and external networks, including representing the department, and liaise effectively with a range of key stakeholders including Senior Executives, public office holders, and union delegates and representatives.
  5. Undertake other high-profile and complex projects as required.

Eligibility

Employment with the Museum of Australian Democracy is subject to the following conditions:

•    Security Clearance – The successful applicant will be required to undergo and maintain a security clearance at the baseline level.
