Maritime Museums of Australia Project Support Scheme (MMAPSS): Applications open

Applications are now open for Grants and Internships

Grants of up to $10,000 each are available to support legally incorporated not-for-profit organisations that care for Australia’s maritime heritage and a variety of project types are eligible for funding in the areas of collection management, conservation, presentation, the development of relevant education or public programs which make significant collections more accessible to audiences and museological training.

The MMAPSS internships program assists staff and volunteers from regional and remote organisations to develop their skills and knowledge and to create a valuable network of professional contacts during their stay. Internships up to two weeks are available across a wide area of museum functions, with funding of up to $3,000 for successful applicants.

Opening date for applications is: 1 July 2014
Closing date for applications is: 31 August 2014
The Selection Committee will convene in: October 2014
Applicants will be notified by: 31 October 2014
All projects to be completed and acquitted by: 1 May 2015
