Future Makers is a unique long-term partnership which aims to create a whole-of-life approach to STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths) education in Queensland with a focus on Gladstone and Chinchilla regions. The program focuses on students and teachers, family and community participation and research. This role also delivers the marketing campaign for World Science Festival Brisbane in Gladstone and Chinchilla.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns to promote FutureMakers partnership and associated learning activities, community engagement activities and World Science Festival Brisbane regional events in Gladstone and Chinchilla.
- Develop a detailed plan for delivery and resources across traditional and digital channels, with a focus on media and social media to generate interest and momentum.
- Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working closely with the Director, STEM Partnership, collaborate with stakeholders across the Queensland Museum and community stakeholders to develop, implement, report and evaluate a new three year communication plan and associated community engagement activities which supports the partnership.
- Develop key messages, copy, marketing collateral, media and promotional materials required to support FutureMakers.
- Assist with the development and implementation of audience research to drive future marketing strategies and assist with reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain key marketing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners (including monthly reporting).
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers including internal designers, external printers, media buyer, distribution companies and media partners (e.g. outdoor, print, media, TV, radio, video and photography).
- Provide marketing assistance to make connections between Queensland Museum Network and exhibitions, events and the World Science Festival Brisbane and other major programs across the organisation as required.
- Participate in after-hours activities for social media, events, incident and emergency communication as required.
- Contribute to the safety culture of QMN by reporting all incidents and hazards and ensuring work is undertaken in the safest way possible, following all QMN WHS policies and/or procedures and guidelines relevant to the job.
- Comply with QMN’s policies and procedures (including approval processes) and Government legislation.
