To enable the Museum to deliver the ambitious goals outlined in its Five-Year Strategic Plan and ensure we are ready for the next stage of our longer-term transformation, a dedicated Marketing and Communications Directorate has recently been established, reflecting the growing importance of brand awareness, customer engagement and advocacy functions. With the goal to reach visitation of 1.2 million by 2022, the Museum will reach new audiences and grow the social business in step with Auckland’s growth, while amplifying the contributions made by the Museum to our communities, our economy, and to people’s sense of identity and belonging.
You’ll provide digital, CRM, finance and administration support for marketing and communications projects, as well as providing assistance to the Marketing Executive and Digital Marketing Manager, primarily related to the promotion of exhibitions and public events.
Responsible for managing the marketing team’s finance administration, raising purchase orders and processing invoices, you’ll also create and deploy our customer emails, as well as maintaining website content and event listings. There is a requirement to provide administration support to the marketing team.
You will have a developing digital skill set, a good grasp of web and/or email CMS platforms and are comfortable with spending a portion of your day on general admin tasks. This is an important role in the marketing team, so you will need to be brilliant at thinking on your feet and strong on delivery. You’ll be comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively.
To be successful in this position, you will need to be calm working under pressure, as there will be multiple tasks on the go. You need to be extremely well organised, nimble, open minded and fond of what the Museum does.
You will offer:
- At least 3+ years’ experience in an administration or marketing support role.
- Some experience in website content management
- Some experience in email production
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Ideally have a relevant tertiary qualification in a marketing-related area.
