We are seeking an enthusiastic Regional Marketing Communication Manager to help us achieve our mission to inspire generations of Queenslanders to discover, celebrate and value our distinctive natural and cultural environments.
This role will plan, develop and implement the marketing communication activity and campaigns for Queensland Museum Network (QMN).
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Communication Manager will manage QMN’s brand, marketing, media and digital communication activity across its network of regional campuses. The role will oversee the marketing teams at The Workshops Rail Museum (TWRM), Cobb+Co and Museum of Tropical Queensland (MTQ) and other assigned QMN major programs. The Marketing Communication Manager will be responsible for ensuring all Queensland Museum Network and stakeholder approvals are undertaken and campaign deadlines are met within budget and will also oversee audience research projects. This role will line manage three direct reports, but will provide leadership to other members of the QMN marketing and media relations team.
Travel to Toowoomba, Ipswich and Townsville is a requirement of this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across QMN and other major programs across traditional and digital channels on time and within budget to drive visitation and revenue.
- Develop and execute positive and consistent media and public relations strategies in conjunction with the media relations team, while ensuring protocols are met and followed.
- Develop key strategies, messages, copy, marketing collateral, media and promotional materials required to support major programs and oversee these tasks performed by the marketing team in the regions.
- Develop and implement audience research plans to gather data to drive future marketing strategies associated with the museum and network and assist with reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain key marketing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners (including monthly reporting to sponsors and stakeholders).
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers including internal designers, external printers, media buyer, distribution companies and media partners (e.g. outdoor, print, media, TV, radio, video and photography).
- Provide marketing assistance to make connections between Queensland Museum Network and other major programs including exhibitions and events across the organisation as required.
- Participate in after-hours on call roster for marketing, media, events, incident and emergency communication as required.
- Contribute to the safety culture of QMN by reporting all incidents and hazards and ensuring work is undertaken in the safest way possible, following all QMN WHS policies and/or procedures and guidelines relevant to the job.
- Comply with QMN’s policies and procedures (including approval processes) and Government legislation.
