Role Purpose:

As part of a small committed team, the role will create and execute marketing campaigns that promote the Museum, its research and collections, programs, membership, and enterprise offerings. This role is responsible for creating engaging and innovative marketing strategies and campaigns, working with staff from across the Museum to bring the wonder and curiosity of the Museum to life. The Marketing Lead will develop strategic integrated marketing programs that leverage traditional and digital media to support tourism development, as well as promoting exhibitions, programs, retail business and research initiatives at the Museum. The Marketing Lead is responsible for all aspects of marketing project management, setting project management schedules, including media planning and placement, design and production of materials, deliverables, and ensuring that campaigns remain on track to meet strategic objectives. Collaboration and relationship management with a range of stakeholders including media partners, agencies, colleagues and designers is integral to this role.

Special Conditions:

  • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department’s Performance Management Program.
  • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
  • This role requires a working with children check.
  • This role requires a National Criminal History check.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or equivalent experience
