THE OPPORTUNITY:
Museums Victoria, Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking a Level 3 Marketing Officer – Brand & Retail to fulfil a full-time, fixed-term contract until December 31, 2022.
We are looking for a highly skilled marketer with the passion, drive and experience to create and develop a mix of retail, commercial and revenue-driving content that engages audiences and drives revenue for each of Museum Victoria’s Museums. This position is also responsible for upholding the MV brand – strengthening its’ presence in market and ensuring it remains consistent with Museum Victoria’s mission, vision and strategic objectives.
Working with the Marketing team, core duties of this position include:
- Planning, developing and implementing targeted retail and commercial campaigns and brand communications to support cross-functional teams
- Developing integrated social media marketing plans
- Supporting Marketing Managers on large-scale campaign asset rollouts, ensuring that they are delivered on time and with excellence
Relevant skills and attributes:
- Strong understanding and experience developing retail/commercially focused content delivered across complex bought, owned and shared digital media and marketing channels;
- Strong understanding and experience of planning and implementing audience-focused content across a variety of channels
- Strong understanding and experience of brand work – both internal (brand strategy) and external (branded campaigns, asset management etc.)
- In-depth understanding of social media and how to utilise social channels to engage visitors, enhance reputation and drive visitation/revenue
